“The first time we spoke about figurines at Alessi was in 1991, after a workshop held with the trash designers of East Village in New York the previous winter. After investigating the popular beliefs surrounding figurines and cult objects – which had been incorporated at that time in the Family Follow Fiction design project – we thought that a collection of porcelain figurines could provide a possible creative outlet. Representing a magical world, the discreet and symbolic presence of the small ornament is seen as an inspiring, reassuring cult object. With this collection of figures, Alessi created a series of faithful little companions to accompany our everyday rituals associated with stories and images.

“Michael Natale”: the Father Christmas of "Made in Italy". Protector of traditions. “Orson & Natalino”: a continuation of the series "The Adventures of Natalino". “I Buonanno”: bearers of good cheer. They promote good vibes between couples, encouraging laughter, dancing and the desire to celebrate. “Rudy & Sventola”: they help to resolve conflict. A continuation of the series “The Adventures of Sventola”, otherwise known as “Topolone”, the big-eared mouse. “I Valentini”: for men and women who want to become lovers ... they make you want to say YES! “Mago Sterlino”: brings harmony and equilibrium at work.
