A clean, contemporary example of a simplified industrial process. Designed by Marianne Brandt in 1924 under the creative direction of Lazlo Moholy-Nagy at the Bauhaus Metallwerkstatt, the original Alessi Bauhaus Ashtray featured stainless steel and brass. This reproduction shines in 18/10 stainless steel, manufactured in 1995 under license from the Bauhaus Archiv in Berlin, and incorporates the same stylish cigarette rest and removable lid for easy disposal of ashes.  

Ashtray with round opening and cigarette stand. Offered with polished stainless steel or polished brass base. Removable lid for both versions is of polished stainless.
