taliesin pendant (11 lamps)
Designed by Frank Lloyd Wright

When Frank Lloyd Wright converted the original gymnasium of his Hillside Home School in Spring Green, Wisconsin into a theater in 1933, the lighting he designed for the dramatic height of the room consisted of hanging pendants of square boxes and plywood shields. The sculptural assembly of forms, in which the light source is subtly concealed within the series of open-ended boxes, was described by Wright as "electric lighting without glass" and allows for indirect lighting, illumination without glare. After the theater burned down in 1952, Wright modified the pendant design installing it into the new dining room as well. The lamp produced here is a reproduction of that 1952 design.

UL approved, seven 25W incandescent bulbs (frosted), candelabra base. Base and shades are cherry wood.
