storer 1 floor lamp Designed by Frank Lloyd Wright
Built in Los Angeles, California, in 1924, the John Storer House is a
Wright landmark celebrated both for its construction technique and for the
patterning of its exterior surface. The house was constructed with concrete
blocks, supported by a series of narrow steel rods placed horizontally and
vertically within concealed joints. Cast with ornate geometric designs, the
concrete blocks were often perforated with glass inserts. The delicate
steel rod construction of the floor lamps originally designed by Wright
referred to the structure of the house itself. UL approved, one 40W incandescent (frosted) bulb. Shade is inside frosted
clear glass, body and base are black painted steel and aluminum.
